This Sunday, on April Fools Day, we finally get to see Chelsea back in action when they take on their long-standing rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.
It is a game that Chelsea must win otherwise their aspirations of playing Champions League football could suffer a devastating blow.
When it comes to games against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea have a penchant for raising their game, who`ll ever forget that game at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea came back from 2-0 to draw 2-2 and thwart any chances Tottenham had of winning the Premier League, thereby handing the title to Leicester City.
This Sunday will be a highly-charged affair and perhaps, just perhaps, it could be the game whereby our January transfer signing, Olivier Giroud, notches his first goal for Chelsea.
One of his team-mates on both the domestic and international stages, N`Golo Kante, reckons Sunday could be the day for his team-mate with the midfielder being quoted as having remarked to the media,
“Olivier is a goal-scorer. We are not worried that he will start getting goals for Chelsea.
“They will come – and maybe this weekend. Hopefully, he will score.”
Wouldn`t it be just champion if a goal from a former Gunner helped Chelsea beat Tottenham!
