Reports filtering through would seem to indicate that Frank Lampard will not start in the FA Cup replay with Brentford.
Lampard, who has played every minute of Chelsea`s last nine games, not bad for a34 year-old veteran, is set to be rested, with Lampard graciously accepting the decision having supposedly remarked,
“I get into a flow when I play regularly and I`ve been really pleased with my form.”
“But it doesn`t mean I have to play every game.”
“Now we`re in the Europa League we have to get our minds around playing every Thursday and Sunday but it`s not difficult to get up for that.”
One in the eye for all those Lampard doubters who insist he reckons he wants to start in every game!
