Earlier this month we covered, on our front-page, Chelsea`s apparent interest in the Bayer Leverkusen winger, Leon Bailey.

Our interest in the 20-year-old Jamaican winger, was expected to manifest itself into a bid for the player, who is valued in the region of £22 million, this coming January.

However, our associates at theDaily Mail are suggesting a deal might not be as easy as believed.

Chelsea, once again, had scouts watching the player last Friday when Bayer Leverkusen beat Stuttgart. Bailey was in electric form, setting up both goals with his pace and skill.

Bailey, according to our source, has been watched by Chelsea scouts since he moved to Europe as a 15-year-old, from Jamaica.

But, Bayer Leverkusen are not playing ball with our referenced source implying that Chelsea have, recently, had a £22 million offer rebuffed.

Could a deal still be done or is the player being priced out of our range?
