With Romelu Lukaku set to join West Bromwich Albion on loan, our striking department looks a little depleted.
Therefore, the insistence that our pursuit of Victor Moses is nearing completion is a little puzzling with many of us suspecting that bringing in a central striker would be the more pressing objective.
Talking about the impending arrival of Moses, Vital Chelsea member chokoz_fs(formerly known as Yenusco) sent me the following e-mail:-
“I just got a report from a trusted source that says Chelsea have agreed a fee to sign Wigan’s winger Victor. Chelsea have been monitoring Moses for a long time and see him as an asset due to his pace, trickery, versatility and eye for goal. It was reported that last week Dave Whelan and Ron Gourlay met and deliberated on a price which Whelan confirmed and said that they’ve told Chelsea their price and it`s left for Chelsea to agree on it and get their player. Well, the report says that Ron Gourlay has agreed a fee said to be in the region of £9 million and that all that is left is for the player to agree terms and undergo a medical before being a Blue.”
Well I guess it was always on the cards after all the speculation in recent weeks, any further thoughts anyone?
