Ryan Bertrand is currently flavour of the month.
Having learned his craft out on loan, Ryan is now starting to reap the rewards.
As well as becoming the first player in history to make his debut in the Champions League Final and come away with a winners` medal, Bertrand`s recent participation in the Olympic Football tournament, under the guise of Team GB, has seen the defender earn a place in Roy Hodgson`s latest England squad.
Although some may point to the fact that Hodgson had several openings to fill having decided to rest his normal back-four, for the fixture with Italy, I`d like to see it as a deserved reward for a youngster who is now in serious danger of becoming a rarity – someone who has come through the ranks at Chelsea Football Club.
