As we edge towards 1st July, and you look at the latest transfer gossip, it would appear the most likely arrivals to the Chelsea squad at this stage in proceedings are Tiemoue Bakayoko, Alex Sandro and Romelu Lukaku.
The Sun believe that Bakayoko is in London to have a medical with the deal set to be announced within 48 hours. The arrival of Bakayoko could see Nemanja Matic join up with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United. If the numbers are to believed those two deals would see Chelsea come out with a £5million profit.
Also on Antonio Conte`s radar is Juventus left back Alex Sandro, The Express are reporting that the Blues have tabled a bid £61.2million to secure the Brazilians services.
According to The Daily Star, Romelu Lukaku has agreed personal terms with Chelsea but Roman Abramovich won`t sanction the unrealistic £100million Everton are asking for their want-away star striker. However they don`t expect a deal to announced until after 1st July, when the new Nike kit deal kicks in.
As ever though, we have to take these stories with a pinch of salt until they`re done, but as the days pass, you get a feeling that at least two of these deals will go through. That being the case, as we look forward to the start of pre-season, we can begin to believe that we`ll have a squad strong enough to compete on all fronts once August arrives.
