One Golden Glove And He’s Full Of Himself

|

With the 2018 World Cup now over those Chelsea players who participated will be off to take a well-deserved vacation before, eventually, reporting for pre-season training.

Whether their schedules will see them available for the Community Shield fixture, against Manchester City, remains to be seen.

However, before he enjoys a well-earned rest after picking up the ‘Golden Glove’ award at the 2018 World Cup, Thibaut Courtois has again found himself featured heavily in the media.

The 26-year-old, speaking about his future, and as covered by the tabloid publication, Mirror, is of the opinion that the World Cup has proven that he deserves more of an offer than that which is currently on the table at Stamford Bridge, an offer believed to be around the £200,000 a week mark.

Clearly, Courtois believes that Real Madrid will offer him more, but the comments don’t stop there.

Lurking in the pages of the Standard, there’s more from Thibaut with the goalkeeper quoted as having remarked,

“Wherever I go, Hazard must come along.”

Which leaves me to suggest that the perfect response to that quote would be, how about nowhere!
