Although Chelsea, this summer, have been linked with the acquisition of a central defender, Click Here, here at Vital Chelsea, we’re pondering as to what the future may hold for a young central defender who has now returned to the club after spending last season out on loan at Stoke City.

The defender in question is none other than Kurt Happy Zouma.

Whilst at Stoke and even though the club were relegated to the Championship, Kurt received rave reviews for his performances, often shining when playing in a beleaguered defence.

Zouma had gone to Stoke to get regular first-team football after making a recovery from a bad knee injury sustained against Manchester United and being unable to get a regular run in the first team at Stamford Bridge.

But, what does the future hold for Kurt?

With Maurizio Sarri now in charge, could Zouma become part of the Italian’s defensive plans or is he destined to be loaned out again or possibly sold?
