Yesterday, the football world was shocked when news broke that the former defender Ugo Ehiogu passed away at just 44-years-of-age.

Ehiogu suffered a cardia arrest whilst going about his duties as the Spurs U23 coach and passed away in the early hours of the morning.

This afternoon, at Wembley Stadium, when Chelsea and Spurs go head-to-head in what could be a classic FA Cup semi-final, there will be a minutes` silence held before the game and both sides will wear black armbands.

Now I know that ourselves and Spurs are fierce rivals but here at Vital Chelsea we`re asking you to respect the minutes; silence and behave impeccably.

Back in the aftermath of the sudden and tragic death of our own Matthew Harding, the first fixture after his death was at Stamford Bridge, against Spurs.

On that occasion, the Spurs supporters inside Stamford Bridge behaved impeccably and respected the emotional tributes that took place, please ensure we return the compliment today.
