Star Players’ Departure From Stamford Bridge Held Up By A More Pressing Issue, But It Won’t Change A Thing

|

Every morning, when I climb out of my bed, I expect to see headlines gracing the back pages of the media, reporting that Eden Hazard has left Chelsea to join Real Madrid.

It is something I feel will, inevitably, happen.

Yesterday, it was reported, by the media source Goal that the Spanish club are set to raise their offer to €120 million to persuade Chelsea to do a deal and are ready to send a representative to West London to discuss the deal with the Chelsea director, Marina Granovskaia.

However, another news source, the Standard is reporting that any plans Real Madrid and Eden Hazard may have of getting the deal pushed through quickly are currently being hampered by another more pressing matter.

It seems that the club wish to sort out the future of Maurizio Sarri before moving on to the Hazard deal.

But I’m not holding out any hope that Hazard may have a late change of mind and remain at Stamford Bridge, I reckon this deal will be done and dusted by the weekend.
