Midfielder Set To Leave Chelsea Football Club As A Place In The Starting XI Eludes Him

|

The period of success the youth team has had, over the years, should have provided that springboard for several youngsters to make that huge leap from youth team player to first team player.

But, as we’ve found out numerous times before, it is a huge step to make with very few actually achieving it.

As a member of the youth side, Kyle Scott helped Chelsea win the FA Youth Cup and also the UEFA Youth League.

Unfortunately, such a feat did nothing to help the 21-year-old fulfill his ambitions of becoming a first-team regular with the player only making one appearance for the club that being an appearance of the bench in an FA Cup tie against Hull City.

This summer Scott’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires and it won’t be renewed thereby enabling Kyle to join another club on a free transfer.

However, despite not getting the opportunity to play for Chelsea, in the Premier League, Scott, according to the news vehicle, the Sun is set to get another opportunity to carve out a career in the top-flight of English football with Newcastle, under the tutorship of Rafael Benitez, set to offer the youngster a lifeline.

It’s always disappointing to see a player from our youth set-up leave the club without fulfilling their potential but, if the Newcastle move comes off, we wish Kyle every success.
