The Chelsea Loan Exodus Starts In Earnest

|

Before the 2018 / 2019 season starts, we’re pretty certain we’ll see a mass exodus from Stamford Bridge when it comes to players going out on loan.

Last season Chelsea had in excess of thirty players out on loan, a phenomenal amount.

We don’t see the coming season panning out any different.

Earlier today, it was announced and confirmed by the BBC, that the exodus has begun with Lewis Baker set to join Leeds United on a season-long deal.

Baker, who has only made one appearance for Chelsea and that as off the bench, is no stranger to loan spells having spent time at:

• Sheffield Wednesday
• MK Dons
• Vitesse Arnhem

and

• Middlesbrough

At 23-years-of-age, the midfielder, you’d feel, has somewhat missed the boat at Stamford Bridge which makes us ponder whether a sale would have been a more viable option, or perhaps somebody within the club is of the opinion Lewis could be a late developer.

But what are your feelings on the subject matter?
