Chelsea Reject Barcelona Bid For Brazilian International

|

The future of our Brazilian international midfielder-cum-winger Willian continues to generate column inches in the media.

Willian, who like most of the Chelsea contingent on international duty at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, has had an ‘average’ tournament so far, is starting to feature heavily in transfer speculation.

According to the news source, the Daily Mail, the Catalan giants of Barcelona have been enquiring about the 29-year-old.

Our source is reporting that Barcelona have seen an offer, said to be of the magnitude of £50 million rejected by Chelsea.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, picking up on the speculation scent, the Express, casually throws into the mix the inference that Jose Mourinho, at Manchester United, is also likely to bid for the player if Chelsea offers any encouragement that Willian could be heading towards the exit.

Personally, I’d like to see Willian remain at Stamford Bridge and be part of the side next season, but, if the decision is taken to sell the player then please do not let Jose Mourinho get his hands on the Brazilian, we are not Manchester United’s feeder club!

Please feel free to air your thoughts on the above speculation in our comments facility beneath this article.
