As ever there`s a wealth of gossip in the media this Tuesday morning. A quick surf around the world-wide-web and the usual suspects turn up as potential Chelsea targets. There`s not much new as the same names get recycled.

In The Express Arsenal legend, Ian Wright suggests Chelsea lack depth and will miss Diego Costa`s goals this season. Wow, no **** Sherlock. I think Wrighty has got that one right. We need Batshuayi of Morata to step up to the plate to replace the Spanish/Brazilians 20+ goals per season for sure.

Meanwhile over at the Daily Star they run a story that Thibaut Courtois is about to offer himself up as some sort of sacrificial goalkeeper and head off to Real Madrid. The story says Courtois is keen on a move to the Bernabeu. Is this the same Courtois who wrote on his Instagram account on Sunday

“Very disappointed with the Loss today. I took the responsibility to shoot but unfortunately I missed. We will learn from our mistakes and take the good things of today with us! See you all at Stamford Bridge next week!”

Take it as read that Virgil Van Dijk features heavily, with Manchester City now entering the bidding war. Something that will only bump up the price that Liverpool eventually have to pay for him. With Philippe Coutinho off to the Camp Nou (watch out Merlin) they`ll be able to afford it.

A new name to enter the fray is Djibril Sidibi, the Monaco full-back. According to The Express again, the Monaco full back is a new target for the Blues. He`s able to cover both full back positions, but the consensus of opinion across the internet, is that he`s great going forward but not so good defensively. Whether the French side allow him to leave their rapidly diminishing squad is another matter.
