There’s An Outrageous Suggestion Relating To A Chelsea Player In The Italian Media

One piece of transfer speculation that appeared last week caught my eye and deserves a mention.

It related to our young Scottish midfielder, Billy Gilmour.

After recovering from an injury that saw the youngster side-lined for five months, the Scotsman is slowly getting his match fitness back.

But, according to the Italian media source, Calciomercato, Billy may not be at Stamford Bridge much longer.

Our referenced source is of the opinion that Napoli could be looking to take Billy, on-loan, in the January transfer window.

Now that suggestion is not that outrageous, with Chelsea having a plethora of midfield talent, Frank Lampard may opt to send Billy out on loan to get some regular football.

But then, in my opinion, our referenced news source enters the realms of fantasy when it goes on to suggest a successful loan spell would then see Napoli sign Billy on a permanent basis.

Really!

Can you see that happening?

I certainly cannot.
