The victory, against Watford, on Saturday was very welcome.
It ended a run of three games whereby victory had eluded Chelsea Football Club.
The manner in which it was achieved might not have been the best, with the defence looking wobbly on numerous occasions, but a win is a win.
As has been the case for the past couple of months, the fixtures continue to come thick and fast.
This Wednesday, Chelsea welcome beleaguered Everton to Stamford Bridge for a League Cup tie, but before we can focus totally on that tie, we need to seek closure on the victory against Watford by announcing who you voted for as your man-of-the-match.
When the poll closed there were several of the side that were in contention for the reward, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Pedro leading the way.
Surprisingly, Michy Batshuayi, who scored a brace to propel us to victory and who took the Sky Sports man-of-the-match award, hardly featured, polling just 5% of the votes cast.
