Wigan is looking as if it is fast becoming a suitable destination when it comes to sending young Chelsea right-backs out on loan.

Last season, Reece James spent a very enjoyable season on loan there with the young right-back making such an impact he was made the club captain for his last appearance with them.

This season I’m sure, like me, you’ll be hoping that Reece is given the opportunity to try and make that breakthrough into the Chelsea first-team squad.

But continuing on the theme of this article, it is being reported by Sky Sports that Wigan are now in talks with Chelsea about taking Dujon Sterling on loan for the coming 2019 / 2020 season.

For Dujon it is the ideal opportunity to get some much-needed regular first-team football and if he has half the success Reece James had then we’re in no doubt that it will enormously benefit his future career.

Here at Vital Chelsea we’ll keep a watch out for developments and report back as deemed appropriate.
