Willian’s Chelsea Future Looking A Little Clearer Perhaps

|

The past few days, or so, have seen Willian feature prominently in the transfer speculation.

Our 29-year-old Brazilian winger has been linked with a move to either of a trio of clubs, namely, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

However, according to one source, the Spanish news vehicle, marca, Real Madrid have no interest in the player with our news source inferring it is only Thibaut Courtois they are, in fact, after.

This, however, contradicts an article that appeared in the media yesterday, from the new source, the Daily Mail, which inferred that the Spanish club were looking at offering Chelsea a combined sum of £100 million for the duo.

But, moving on, there is distinct hope that Willian could indeed remain a Chelsea player and play his part in what we hope will be the Maurizio Sarri revolution.

Lurking in the pages of the new source, the Mirror, which has picked up on something in the Spanish press source, Globo Esporte, is the inference that the player is very happy at Chelsea and enjoys living in London.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d love to see the transfer window slam shut, a week on Thursday, with Willian remaining a part of the Chelsea squad.

On his day he is as good as anyone in the Premier League and a joy to watch. With Sarri looking to play an attacking game, Willian could be a key weapon in making the plan work.
