Today, Thursday 9 August, the 2018 summer transfer window will slam shut.

After a quiet summer transfer window, in which Chelsea only signed the midfielder Jorginho.

But, just as we were fearing that it was going to be a transfer window to forget, we saw a flurry of activity that saw Thibaut Courtois depart and Chelsea bring in Kepa Arrizabalaga, for a world record fee for a goalkeeper. The deal involving Courtois also saw the Croatian midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, arrive at Stamford Bridge, on a season-long loan deal.

Suddenly, what had been a quiet transfer window sprung into life and we’re all left pondering as to what lies in store for us today.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’re hoping there is one last throw of the dice and that Chelsea dig deep and bring a world-class striker to the club.

But, we’re also interested in who could be heading out of the club, could we be seeing several of the fringe squad members departing, namely the likes of Danny Drinkwater and Kurt Zouma?

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’re giving you the chance, via this article, to second guess what might happen today.

Please feel free to air your thoughts in the comments facility beneath this article, you never know we might get quite a debate going!

  • Its not gonna happen but i would live to see Maguire in in exchange for Zouma + cash. Top class defender that would provide excellent protection for our new goalkeeper and it would stop the potential Maguire to Unitef rumour. Leicester woyld get another good defender in return so no need to go searching for a replacement

  • Zouma went on loan to Everton at the last minute, players can still leave as the Euro windows are open until the end of August . Expect Bakayoko,Miyazaga, Piazon, Mitchy and maybe DD to head out to the loan army this month . Funny thing, so far we only sent two players to Vitesse so far this window.
