The results are in following the second round of voting as we look to find the Vital Chelsea readerships` best starting XI. Already in the team and our first pick was the, almost, ever present, Cesar Azpilicueta.

Left in the for the next round of voting were

⦁ Gary Cahill
⦁ Andreas Christensen
⦁ David Luiz
⦁ Antonio Rudiger

With the votes in and counted, the second man in the lineup is the Dane Andreas Christensen. This is a great achievement for the young man (Wilkinsism) who wasn`t even making Antonio Conte`s team at the start of the season. He polled 68% of the votes cast.

In second place, and moving up from joint last in the first poll, is Antonio Rudiger, who secured 18% of the votes. Third in the poll was David Luiz who is struggling to get into Conte`s team at the moment. He scored 8% of the votes cast. Injured and training alone at present, there must be doubts as to whether the Brazilian will still be at the club come the end of January. We shall have to wait to see on that one.

In last place and dropping down from second was Gary Cahill with just 6%. It seems that the Vital Chelsea readership would like Antonio Conte to start looking for a new captain for his team.

In a back three trio, the signs are that Cahill will be struggling to make the cut with us. With the poll having been whittled down to just three players, the current front page poll asks for that third name.

Polling on this one will end later this evening ahead of the ‘Who will win v West Ham Poll’. So you need to make your vote count. As ever, please use your vote wisely.
