Back when the last few days of Carlo were extinguishing, you could be forgiven for understanding the rumour of his former protege moving to Chelsea. We were in need of a CAM type player and his past efforts under Ancelotti were impressive.
Now that Carlo has gone and AvB is re-jigging things his way, why are the rumours still around?
I know that rumours will circulate regardless of fact, but with all the Modric interest as well as Moutinho/Sneijder/etc, why bother?
Is Kaka really going to want to come to the team that used to be managed by Ancelotti? Doubtful.
With players like Pedro Leon, Sergio Canales and Lass Diarra being left out of Mourinho’s pre-season squad, why don’t we move for one of them? Cheaper, younger and arguably better.
