Chelsea Decree Spaniard Is Going Nowhere And Is To Remain At Stamford Bridge

|

Much to our relief.

The transfer window may have slammed shut for Premier League clubs, on the eve of the start of the new season, when it comes to recruiting players, but as a result of some strange decision making by those who run our game, Premier League clubs are still able to be subjected to bids, for their players, from clubs on the continent.

In our view, it is and remains a questionable decision.

Recently, transfer speculation has linked our attacking Spanish full-back, Marcus Alonso, with a possible move to La Liga, with either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid being declared as possible destinations.

Alonso, just 27-years-of-age, has been a revelation since arriving at the club back with his raiding style and endless running up and down the flanks making him a firm favourite with the Stamford Bridge support.

Thankfully, it seems, according to the news source, the Daily Star, that any talk of a move to the aforementioned clubs isn’t going to happen with Chelsea determined to keep hold of the player.

Now to us, that’s some pretty good news to start the day with, don’t you think?
