Chelsea Legend Could Be Set For His First Managerial Role

|

On an emotional afternoon, when John Terry bid farewell to Chelsea Football Club, the legendary defender addressed the crowd and hinted that one day, he’d return in some other capacity, as manager perhaps.

That ambition could be thwarted, for the time being, if Frank Lampard, the current occupant of the role, continues to make the progress he is.

But there’s no doubting that John harbours ambitions to manage a club.

Since hanging his boots up, John has been working as the number two to Dean Smith, at Aston Villa, studiously learning his trade and preparing for the time to strike out.

According to Football Insider that time could almost be upon us.

On Saturday, following four consecutive feats since the resumption of the Championship season, the Bristol City manager, Lee Johnson, was sacked.

With the role up for grabs, our referenced source implies that John is a potential candidate to fill the vacancy.

To us, it seems the ideal place to take on a managerial role and if John decides the time is right we have every belief that he’ll prove to be a success.

Go for it, John.
