It`s fair to say that the vibes given off by Thibaut Courtois recently, suggest the Belgian keeper is happy at Stamford Bridge and has no desire to jump ship to Real Madrid, as often appeared to be the case.
However, that hasn`t stopped transfer speculation, this Sunday morning, linking Chelsea with the acquisition of a keeper that is already making huge waves on the continent.
According to the good folk of The Mirror, Chelsea are showing a serious interest in bringing Gianluigi Donnarumma to West London.
Donnarumma is currently on the books of AC Milan and despite being a mere eighteen-years-of-age, is established in the AC Milan first team. His performances have also seen him grab the U21 shirt for Italy and it seems only a matter of time before Donnarumma becomes the first choice for the national team.
But we should point out two things, acquiring the young keeper would mean an enormous outlay and according to our source there is also interest from another Premier League side in the form of Manchester United.
But can I see Donnarumma arriving in SW6 this summer?
My thoughts are that it is highly unlikely, but I have (often) been wrong on matters of this nature.
