This morning we find that Real Madrid are, once again, threatening to exercise their financial clout and raid the Premier League.

There`s nothing new there nor is there nothing new in the fact that their intended targets are two names they`ve been regularly linked with previously, those of the Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and our very own Eden Hazard.

One source, the popular tabloid, The Mirror, even goes as far as to suggest the Spanish giants are willing to spend £100 million this summer.

Somehow, I can`t see Real Madrid getting the aforementioned duo for as little as that, can you?

However, whilst the future of David de Gea doesn`t concern us, although I`d love to see Jose`s smug face if the Spanish goalkeeper did up sticks and leave, but the future of Eden Hazard does concern me.

But perhaps those fears of the jewel in our crown leaving have eased slightly courtesy of an article in the Telegraph whereby when pressed, by reporters on a possible move to Real Madrid, following our defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace, on Saturday, Eden simply replied,

“You want to get me in trouble? No, I’m fine at Chelsea. I have things to finish this year. I still have a contract until 2020. So I’m fine here.”

Music to our ears I`d suggest.
