Chelsea Midfielder Is Not Looking To Leave The Club Any Time Soon

|

Ahead of the 3-3 draw with Southampton, here at Vital Chelsea we discussed a potential transfer scenario that could occur in January.

Our article – chelseas-january-scenario-one-big-name-in-and-one-big-name-out– discussed the possibility of Chelsea sacrificing N’Golo Kante if they were certain they could land their rumoured target, Declan Rice.

The suggestion received a mixed response from our readership.

However, it would appear that no such deal is going to happen.

Lurking in the pages of The Daily Star is the suggestion that the 29-year-old French World Cup has no intention of leaving Stamford Bridge despite there being interest from Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

To me that is great news to start the week with.

Kante is a key part of our midfield and to lose him would be a bitter blow.

My only reservation about Kante is the clubs’ reluctance to play him, regularly, in his best position, in the hole in front of the back-four.
