Last night (Friday) was the first night for two weeks whereby there was no World Cup football shown live on the television, much to the relief of my wife.
We’re at that stage whereby the group stages are completed and we’re waiting for the knockout stages to begin.
Some would say we’re now at the stage where the ‘dross’ has ended and we enter the much more entertaining ‘life-or-death’ stages of the most talked about football tournament in the world.
But, whilst we wait for hopes to be realised and dreams to be dashed, in the knockout stages, we thought we’d give you the opportunity to get involved.
We’re looking for nominations with regards to which Chelsea player you believe was the best in the group stages.
We’re also asking for you to name which Chelsea player you believe hasn’t done himself justice and will, possibly, look back on the tournament as a huge disappointment.
