According to the highly respected news source, The Times, Cesc Fabregas could be offered the chance to extend his career at Old Trafford.

Thirty-year-old Fabregas has been a main-stay in the Chelsea starting eleven in recent weeks and has continued to provide the assists he is famed for.

Our referenced source reckons that Chelsea, in preparing to offer the Spaniard a new contract, are trying to ward-off the reported interest in the player expressed by Manchester United.

The obvious link to the Manchester United speculation being the fact that they are managed by Jose Mourinho, the very manager who signed the player for Chelsea.
