The last two games have both ended in defeats with Chelsea scoring just the one goal and conceding seven, hardly the form of defending champions.
The manner of the defeat, at Vicarage Road, against Watford, has seen the press jump back on the Conte to be axed bandwagon.
Now whether that happens, in the coming days, remains to be seen.
However, after the latest debacle, Thibaut Courtois has stepped forward and offered his support to the beleaguered Conte, with the Belgian keeper remarking to the media,
‘We believe in the manager and we believe in our team. We have two bad results and we just try to get back, regroup and just continue.
‘We showed that we wanted to fight even with 10 men and that shows we have character, but when you lose twice like that it is not good and there are questions raised, but we go back to training with the manager, and training well and turn this situation around.
‘We have to work hard again and hope that the victories come again because it was a bad week.’
A very bad week at a time of the season when we`d least want it with it being so competitive at the top of the Premier League table with just those four Champions League places up for grabs.
