Reports appear we may be desperate for Cavani having lost Falcao, Lewendowski and could be willing to pay £50m+ for him.
Not getting Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez etc (not suggesting we tried) has given me the relief we ain`t spending crazy money.
Now to my point: we have 3-5 midfielders who can/were able to give us 10 goals plus last season then add that to what our defenders do in front of goal.

? Ramires-8 etc.
If we can get goals from these other players then a marquee/£50 million pounds plus Napoli want for Cavani should not be accepted by us unless we want to use him to get rid of Torres.
In that case £28m at most should do the deal. Who then can we buy? Any one of: Dzeko-£20m Jovetic-£25m Gomez-£28-30m If we sign one of the above plus Scurrle or Hulk then recall Lukaku, have Ba on the bench and we should be safe upfront.
We now fortify our midfield with a Felliani like (a player good at scoring), Essien/Mikel as sub. Get a big, strong, no nonsense and agile defender to pair Cahill with Terry as sub. At most we spend £80m pounds now, then by January can fortify any lapses noticed. But to use £50m or more now (because Napoli are insisting on full payment of 63 million euros) for a 27 years old may not be such a good idea with our high goal scoring players
