Hazard’s Moving Closer To A Stamford Bridge Departure

|

The uncertainty as to whether Eden Hazard will be a Chelsea player come the start of the 2018 / 2019 season is gathering momentum.

Following Belgium’s third-place victory, over England, in the 2018 World Cup, the 27-year-old forward has suggested that it might be time to try something new with regards to his career with the BBC, carrying the following remarks attributed to the player,

“You know my preferred destination.

“I can decide if I want to stay or go but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go.”

With two years left on his current contract, it is indeed Chelsea who will be calling the shots.

However, with every player, supposedly, having his price, there is further inference, this time coming from the news source the Daily Mail, that Real Madrid are set to make Chelsea an offer they’d find hard to turn down with a fee of £200 million being mentioned.

If that is the case then you could argue that Chelsea should exercise their option to sell the player rather than keep someone on their books who, looking at his remarks, is clearly caught in two minds as to where his future lies.

Quite what Maurizio Sarri makes of the situation we’re not privy to, however, we’re pretty sure that the new boss could find three or four world-class players to bolster the squad if Hazard gets his wish to move to the Bernabeu.

But, what do the Vital Chelsea fraternity make of it all?

Are you of the opinion that we’ve seen Eden Hazard in a Chelsea shirt for the last time or are you confident that our jewel-in-or-crown will be one of us next season?
