The news that Chelsea may be prepared to listen to offers to Robert Huth has stirred up a lot of interest.

After we reported that Wigan Athletic had made a substantial offer, it has now become apparent that this offer was accepted by Chelsea but the rumours persist that Robert has no inclination to join Wigan.

However, today it is being reported that two more clubs have joined the hunt for the powerful, German defender. The latest clubs to join the quest for his signature are Everton and Fulham.

Everton, who this season couldn’t repeat the heroic feats of last season and qualify for the Champions League are looking to shore up a defence that will be losing Joseph Yobo this summer.

Fulham, on the other hand, are keen to convince the German international to move down the Fulham Road and further his career at Craven Cottage.

Whilst Robert may be keen to concentrate on his role in the 2006 World Cup, it is becoming increasingly clear that his talents are wanted by a host of Premiership clubs. Still, our gut feeling is that Robert will, once the World Cup is over, opt for a return to Germany to play in the Bundesliga.

We will endeavour to keep you posted.
