If There Were No Transfer Ban Would We Now Be Bidding Goodbye To This Chelsea Player?

|

It’s an interesting title and one we’d like your help with.

Over the weekend, here at Vital Chelsea, we ran an article Click Here, inferring that Chelsea and Willian were on the verge of securing a new deal that would see the Brazilian remain at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future.

In our article, we implied the deal made sense considering that the club has sold Eden Hazard and will also, unless something unbelievable happens, be operating under a two-window transfer ban.

However, speculation still abounds suggesting that there are clubs who would still like to acquire the services of Willian with Sky Sports, reporting that two Spanish clubs, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, have both had bids, said to be in the region of £35 million, for the 30-year-old player rejected.

Now that inference causes me to offer two questions.

Firstly, with two illustrious Spanish clubs after his services, could such interest unsettle Willian?

And, secondly, if Chelsea hadn’t of been under the influence of a transfer ban, would they readily have accepted such a bid for a player who is now approaching the twilight of his career?

Your thoughts on the above two questions would be most appreciated in the comment facility beneath this article.
