It’s Early Days For The New Confirmed Management Team As The New Dynasty Start With A Draw

|

Yesterday was a momentous day in the history of Chelsea Football Club with the dawn of a new, exciting era officially announced.

With the squad currently in Ireland, for a pre-season fitness camp coupled with a few friendly fixtures, Chelsea took the opportunity, via their Twitter account, to confirm the new management team.

As we’re already perfectly aware, Frank Lampard will manage the side and Jody Morris will be his right-hand man, there are also positions, as can be seen above, for Eddie Newton, Joe Edwards, Chris Jones and Henrique Hilario.

The management team has a familiar feel to it and all Chelsea supporters are hoping that Frank and his team succeed.

Yesterday, Chelsea played their first friendly of the pre-season tour, taking on the Irish side, Bohemians.

The Chelsea squad, minus the numerous international players who have yet to report back for training, took an early lead when Michy Batshuayi netted.

It looked as if Chelsea would take the win but Bohemians, courtesy of a goal from Eric Molloy, equalised in the last minute.

The goal brought cries of:

“You’re getting sacked in the morning!”

aimed in the direction of Frank Lampard but it must be remembered that pre-season is all about getting fitness levels up, trying out formations and in Frank’s situation, getting to know the capabilities of the players at his disposal.

No need to panic folks, no need to panic!
