Lampard’s Return To Chelsea Is Something Derby County May Be Making Preparations For

|

After a great first season in management, Frank Lampard has a lot to sit back and reflect on.

Lampard rebuilt a Derby County side that had almost reached the Championship Play-Off’s the previous season, to come within a cats’ whisker of leading the famous club out of the wilderness and back into the Premier League.

However, it remains debatable as to whether Frank will remain at Pride Park to continue his fine work next season.

Speculation continues to be rife that our legendary midfielder could be the one to jump into the Stamford Bridge hot seat if Maurizio Sarri decides to leave the club and continue his own managerial career with Juventus.

To that effect, the media vehicle, the Daily Mail is reporting that far from dismissing any suggestion that Lampard could leave Derby, they are actively looking for a replacement for when Frank leaves.

The latest inference is that if/when Frank does decide to come home, Derby will look towards newly promoted Charlton Athletic for a replacement with Lee Bowyer’s name rising to prominence.

It’s speculation, here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll continue to monitor closely, and report back as deemed necessary.
