Chelsea`s flight back from Baku should give the players the chance of some well deserved shut-eye having beaten Qarabag 4-0. That won`t be the case for Antonio Conte, and his coaching staff, who will be plotting Liverpool`s downfall on Saturday evening.

Conte has been speaking following tonight`s game and has said he`ll take the time on the flight to prepare for the next game. According to The Guardian Conte and his men only have one full training session before flying up to Liverpool on Friday afternoon. Having already watched Liverpool`s game against Sevilla whilst away, Conte said,

`We have to work during the flight to prepare for the game against Liverpool.`

The article goes on to say that Conte will put his players through a brief warm-down session at Cobham on Thursday afternoon, before heading north on Friday afternoon. Conte was still not happy about fixture scheduling though,

`To have only one day to rest and prepare for such a big game is not easy. I think also it`s not right. The English league is very tough. There are six top teams who try to fight for the title. To create, for the second time in only one and a half months, problems for one team is not right. Someone has to help us to underline this strange situation.`

Overall, the night was a good one for the Italian but he was reluctant to talk about individuals (avoiding Luiz questions), he preferred to speak of the team,

`This group is showing great character. From the start, we faced a lot of problems this season. But, despite this, I think our answer was almost always positive. For sure the second half against Roma was bad but I think I`m very happy to be the coach of these players, because they show me every day great commitment, great will, great desire to fight despite a lot of difficulties sometimes. We are a really good squad. There is a great compactness between us that will be very important for the present and the future.`

It would seem that the apparent unrest surrounding Chelsea Football Club since the end of last seasons Premier League win, is finally abating.
