No Time For Sympathy Chelsea Get In There And Fill Your Boots

|

If anyone doubts just how severe the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic could be then this article could certainly be an eye-opener.

We’ve all read how clubs in the English EFL are struggling to survive and how, without some kind of financial rescue package, several could go out of existence.

We’ve all, also, read how clubs in the Premier League are also struggling to make ends meet and there are concerns that if the TV companies request the paying back of fees already paid out for coverage of fixtures, several clubs could be in trouble.

But these financial concerns are not only restricted to these shores.

Today, lurking in the pages of marca is the inference that the mighty Barcelona have been hit so badly by the worsening financial situation, courtesy of COVID-19, they are open to offers for all, except six, of their playing staff.

Now, we can only hope our own club has enough cash reserves, or credit, to get through the coming crisis and perhaps, we should be having pangs of sympathy for the Catalan giants but, on the other hand, what a wonderful chance to pillage the Camp Nou and pick up a bargain or two.

A mercenary attitude but one that I suspect many of you share!

Barcas been in long term debt to the banks for years , club is owned by supporters. Doubt if the fans have enough to keep the club afloat.
They made no cash when they sold their soul to the devil! The u n does not pay to have their name on barces shirts.
