Premier League Club Awash With Cash Rule Out Move For Hazard

|

Cometh the end of the season, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think Eden Hazard would be leaving us.

I just have this gut feeling that the 27-year-old, although tempted to stay at Stamford Bridge, will depart for pastures new.

When, not if, that happens, it remains to be seen where Eden decides to play his football.

His choice could, in some ways, make his departure more palatable.

If, as we suspect, Eden does end up at Real Madrid then so be it.

But it would be heart-breaking if the Belgian opted to move to another Premier League club who could afford him, although I should add the quantity of clubs that could afford him is very select.

One of those clubs though could be our opponents today, Manchester City, funded by their oil money.

However, on the eve of the big game against Manchester City today, Pep Guardiola, as quoted by the Standard, has admitted he rates Hazard, remarking:

“Switch on the TV and look at him. You realise his qualities. He is one of the best players in the world.”

Before then adding:

“That is not going to happen.”

Thank heavens for that, seeing Frank Lampard wearing a sky-blue shirt was bad enough but seeing Eden wearing one just doesn’t bear thinking about.
