The (apparent) campaign to unsettle Chelsea Football Club continues in certain quarters of the media. Despite Antonio Conte`s side kick-starting the defence of their Premier League title against Tottenham at the weekend, the press have to knock the Blues back down.
This morning The Telegraph report that Marina Granovskaia has lined up the ex-Borussia Dortmund manger Thomas Tuchel as the manager-in-waiting at the club famed for it`s revolving manager`s door.
The story cites German newspaper Bild as the source which says Chelsea believe Tuchel is the man needed to take the club forward in the direction they require.
Obviously, there are no direct quotes from anyone connected with this story, which you have to take with a large pinch of salt. Tuchel left Dortmund in May and is currently out of work. Antonio Conte is currently in work and trying to build for Chelsea`s future. Why can he not be allowed to do just that. Watch your back Antonio!
