Yesterday, up at Villa Park, somebody we`re all very familiar with, played a starring role as Aston Villa beat our near-neighbours, from down the Fulham Road, Fulham.

Now 36-years-of old, John Terry, Captain, Leader and Legend, is doing his utmost to steer Aston Villa towards the Premier League.

After a difficult start to the season, Aston Villa are now sitting in fifth place in the Championship and under the guidance of Steve Bruce, and are looking promotion material.

Yesterday, captaining the side, John Terry scored his first goal for his new club, a towering header, which set his side on the way to victory.

Now, if my memory serves me right, that goal yesterday would have been the first goal John terry would have scored, against Fulham, at Villa Park, since the FA Cup semi-final we played there back in 2001 / 2002 when JT, complete with bandaged head, netted the only goal of the game.

The semi-final was also marked by the re-appearance of the original ‘Pride of London` flag, but that`s a story for another day!
