The First Six Games Of The New Premier League Season A Chance To Have Your Say

|

Yesterday, the fixtures for the forthcoming 2018 / 2019 season were released.

Chelsea supporters will be hoping that the side, whoever is in charge of it, can mount a sustainable challenge for the Premier League crown, currently held by Manchester City.

However, to do so, Chelsea need to get off to a good start, they cannot afford to let any of the other so-called big-six open up a gap at the top of the table.

Therefore, with it essential that Chelsea get off to a decent start this season, we thought we’d take a look at the first six fixtures, games which read as thus:

• Huddersfield (a)
• Arsenal (h)
• Newcastle (a)
• Bournemouth (h)
• Cardiff (h)
• West Ham (a)

Initially, it looks as if Chelsea have been given six fixtures that give them the ideal opportunity to be challenging for the top of the table position.

Of the six sides we’re scheduled to play, only Arsenal are a side that could, if we play to our capabilities, trouble us.

But, we’re realistic enough to accept that any of the other five could be capable of springing a surprise, you’ve only got to look at last season to acknowledge that.

Cutting to the crux of the article though, looking at those first six fixtures, how many points do you reckon Chelsea will accumulate out of the eighteen available?
