Wishful Thinking Or Solid Foundations As Chelsea Loan Star Looks To Be Reunited With Former Boss

|

Last season saw the careers of three of Chelsea’s title-winning squad, put together by Antonio Conte, come to a shuddering halt.

Gary Cahill, Danny Drinkwater and Victor Moses just didn’t get the opportunity they deserved under Maurizio Sarri.

Whilst Cahill and Drinkwater remained at Chelsea, Victor Moses chose to go out on loan to get some much-needed regular action.

The 28-year-old chose Fenerbahce, in the Turkish League, as his next port of call.

However, it is being reported today by the local news source, Football London that Moses is hoping his career could now take a fresh turn.

The Nigerian international is hoping that, following the appointment of Antonio Conte as the manager of Inter Milan, he could well feature in the Italian’s plans.

If that is the case then Moses would be willing to cut short his loan spell with Fenerbahce to reunite with the manager who deployed him, so effectively, in that raiding wing-back role that played such an influential part in Chelsea winning the Premier League title in Conte’s first season in charge.

Now we’re not sure if Moses’ hopes are based on any solid foundations or are just romantic wishful thinking, but we’ll keep a close eye out just in case there are any further developments deemed worthy of a follow-up article.
