Chelsea Defender Showed Courage To Make This Extraordinary Decision

|

I would not have made the move either!

One of the strangest developments in the latter stages of the summer transfer window related to our young centre-back, Fikayo Tomori.

With opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge, Tomori seemed an ideal candidate to gout on a season-long loan deal.

Such a deal would have guaranteed the 22-year-old regular first-team football.

But, with the transfer deadline fast approaching, it seems that according to The Metro, Tomori had second thoughts about leaving Stamford Bridge and, instead, opted to stay and fight for a place in Frank Lampard’s starting eleven.

The young defender had been set to join West Ham United, the loan deal had been agreed, the relative fees had been agreed and everything looked to have been given the green light until just 10 minutes before the window slammed shut, the player had a change of mind.

Quite what West Ham made of it all remains to be seen, but if Tomori did not feel it was the right move for him then he clearly made the right decision and dared to do so.

Like the article says at the start, I wouldn’t have made the move either, but would you have?

Pls can tomori or christensen play as a defensive midfielder?
