Chelsea Midfielder Linked With Late Transfer Window Move To Arsenal

Speculation is continuing to grow that one of Chelsea’s midfield contingent could be set for a late summer transfer window move across London.

According to ESPN, Arsenal, having missed out on the Lyon midfielder, Houssem Aouar, are now keen to sign our Italian midfielder, Jorginho.

Jorginho, a player who it is fair to say divides opinion among the Chelsea support, played a key role in Chelsea’s demolition of Crystal Palace, on Saturday, scoring twice from the penalty spot with his unique way of taking spot-kicks.

However, you have to ask whether Frank Lampard would be prepared to sell the 28-year-old having already let Ross Barkley go out on loan and with speculation growing that Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be set to follow the same path.

Against Crystal Palace, with Lampard restoring N’Golo Kante to his best role in front of the back-four, Jorginho had, I feel, his best game for Chelsea for some time and looked a classy operative moving the ball around quicker than we have been accustomed to.
