Chelsea Reject Approach From Top European Club For One Of Its Stars

|

Yesterday, the speculation was rife that Callum Hudson-Odoi could be on his way to Bavaria.

Several news sources, as covered by Vital Chelsea – there-is-a-saturday-morning-shock-in-store-for-chelsea-supporters – were captivated by the suggestion that the 19-year-old was set to join Bayern Munich on a season-long loan with the Bavarian giants set to sign the young forward on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

But, just twenty-four hours later, the scenario has swung dramatically in the opposite direction.

If The Daily Mail has gotten its facts correct it that Chelsea have turned down flat Bayern’s approach to take the player on a season-long loan with a subsequent option to purchase the England international for £70 million.

If true, it is an indication that Hudson-Odoi remains firmly in Frank Lampard’s plans despite the recent glut of summer transfer window signings.

But then again, anything could happen before that transfer window slams shut at 23:00 hours on Monday evening.

Would have been silly to let him go.

Still sad Ross barkley was allowed to leave on loan…
Chelsea need that guy as a squad player.

I can count to countless times he had helped Chelsea in Europa league win and last season…
So unfair to let him go on a loan.

Isnt that midfield looking thin now, this season will be long and stretched, we would need him..

Again where is the defensive mid to help Kante, in his off days or rest or injury?

    Tomori? Christensen? Reece?

    Who?

Only Chelsea in the top 6 has only one defensive mid.
