Chelsea Set To Submit Radical Proposal To Premier League

|

When the 2019 / 2020 Premier League season finally does resume, the game we love will certainly look different.

For a start, the grounds will be empty except for those directly involved with the game.

Another change is that it is expected that every one of the remaining fixtures will be shown live, with even the BBC being able to show live Premier League football.

There’s also the possibility that armchair supporters will be able to watch back-to-back live fixtures as the saturation coverage begins.

However, there could be further change!

According to The Daily Mail Chelsea have submitted a proposal to the Premier League requesting that clubs be allowed to increase the number of substitutes named from seven to nine.

It is a proposal that will be put to a vote although, at this moment, it is not clear if the number of substitutes that can be used will be increased from the current three to five.

However, it is still a far cry from the game I was introduced to as a youngster where only one substitute was used.

But what are your thoughts on the subject matter?

It is a proposal you agree with or is it something that should be dismissed.
