Chelsea Support Believe West Ham Star Will Become A Chelsea Player This Summer

|

I am none the wiser as to whether the transfer speculation linking Declan Rice to a move to Chelsea is based on solid foundations or is merely the work of a news-hungry media eager to fill some vacant column inches.

But it is certainly speculation that has gained your interest.

Yesterday, here at Vital Chelsea, we reported on how a reputed deal involving player-exchanges for Rice had been rejected by West Ham – chelseas-latest-offer-for-transfer-target-receives-a-polite-refusal

As part of our article we included a poll which asked for your opinion on whether Rice would become a Chelsea player, this summer, with the question reading:

Can You See Declan Rice Joining Chelsea This Summer?

Surprisingly, despite insisting Rice is not for sale unless an astronomical fee of £80 million is offered, you seem pretty sure the deal will get done with 53% voting for the YES option with 39% believing the deal won’t happen and going for the NO option, with the remaining 8% selecting the UNDECIDED option.

Today, as has been the case for the past several days, the name of Declan Rice is once again linked with a move to Chelsea, with Talksport re-iterating that West Ham will not accept anything less than £80 million for their asset.

Sometimes you begin to get the impression that this could be a case of no smoke without fire, is this one such deal?

If so, it makes me grimace to think somebody at Chelsea once decreed Rice wasn’t going to make the grade and opted to release him!

There is no price set as west ham have had no enquiries and have repeated again he is under no circumstances being sold. It appears to be a media story. I repeat west ham have had no enquiries and will not sell in any case.

I hope you do bring Chelsea fans good news. But it certainly wont be Rice going there.
