Earlier this week, with the obvious becoming even more obvious by the hour, we urged chelsea-to-admit-it-its-a-done-deal with regards to Frank Lampard being appointed as the new manager of our fine club.
Unfortunately, two days later we’re, as they say, still in the dark.
But why?
In the media, The Daily Mail carries an article that Lampard has been photographed at Stamford Bridge after hours of talks relating to the post.
But still no official confirmation, why?
Perhaps The Express has the answer.
Seemingly, the worldwide social media outage yesterday, an outage which presented photographs appearing on the various sites, was to blame.
With such a historical moment almost upon us, Chelsea fell foul of the gremlins that had social media addicts up in arms.
So, with the outage now, if my own social media site is anything to go by, can we expect a fanfare of trumpets and that official announcement sometime today?
Let’s hope so, pre-season training starts tomorrow.
